US Open Design Contest

Earlier this year I was selected as one of the top 5 finalists in the design competition hosted by FIT, sponsored by IHG and Wilson for the hashtag#USOpen! 🎾

For my design, I chose the theme "Court Side Reverie", a reflection of the energy and movement of tennis. I envisioned a dress that captured the intensity of the sport, with a tennis racket concept wrapped around the dress. The design pushed me to think outside the box and bring the dynamic spirit of the game to life.

Working on this from home, throughout the summer was an incredible journey. From sourcing materials in Bangalore, India, to experimenting with tennis ball felt, the process had its challenges, but each step taught me something new. Seeing my final design come to life was deeply rewarding.

It was also an honor to have my dress, along with the works of my talented competitors, displayed at the Museum at FIT in New York. Being part of such an esteemed exhibition was truly a milestone in my creative journey.
